Dwight Smith Miller Jr., 83, a lifetime resident of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Mr. Miller was an Army veteran.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, at 2 p.m. in Haymount United Methodist Church with the Rev. Woody Wells and the Rev. David Gira officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Margaret G. Miller; stepdaughter, Dawn Hamby Bradshaw and husband Brad of Nashville, Tenn.; brother, Jack Miller and wife Mattielee of Burlington; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Hamby; grandchildren, Charla Hamby Small and husband George of Easton, Md., Alan Hamby and wife Lisa of Fredricksburg, Md., and Dr. Mark Edward Bradshaw of Memphis, Tenn.; granddaughter-in-law, Danielle Bradshaw of Long Island, N.Y.; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his stepson, George A. Hamby; and his grandson, Dustan K. Bradshaw.
The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service Friday at Haymount United Methodist Church.
