Earl Kendall Bunce, 89, of Fayetteville passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home with his beloved family by his side.

Earl was born June 12, 1933 in Cumberland County, NC to the late Dora and Wiley Bunce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Chestnut Bunce and seven brothers and four sisters.

Earl was a lifetime member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. He was a retired  veteran of the U.S. Air Force and worked at Ft. Bragg with the Army Civil Service Engineering.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at 12:00 PM at Jernigan-Warren Chapel. The burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park-West with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11-12:00 PM on Tuesday.

He is survived by his son, Leon Kendall Bunce (Wendy), daughter, Isla Dedi Hinckley (Alan); grandchildren, Daniel Griffis, Steven Bunce, Annabeth Hofeling, Allison Bradburn, Sarah Lane, Kaylie Leitch, Kyle  Hinckley; five great-grandsons and companion Mary L. Foss.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, 6248 Cliffdale Rd., Fayetteville, NC 28314.
