Eddie Joe Reid, 64, of Linden, died Thursday, April 10, 2008, in his home. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm Sunday, April 13, 2008, in Cedar Falls Baptist Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. Daniel Norman and Rev. Floyd Benfield officiating. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. A visitation will take place from 6 to 8 pm Saturday evening, April 12, 2008, at the church fellowship hall. Mr. Reid was preceded in death by his father, Jewell C. Reid; brother, Jimmy D. Reid; and niece, Loretta Jean Reid. He is survived by his wife, Noval Reid of the home; sons, Keith Allen Reid and wife Susan of Fayetteville and Jimmy Durane Reid and wife Melissa of Fayetteville; mother, Dolly Rivera of Fayetteville; brother, Larry E. Reid of Ocala, FL; and grandchildren, Justin Reid, Robert Reid, and Chloe Reid. Memorials may be made to Cedar Falls Baptist Church Youth Fund, 6181 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville NC 28311.
