Our precious Mom, Edna Marlowe, went to be with her mom and sisters in the home of the Lord on June, 12th, 2016. Born to Margaret Hurdle, she was one of 9 sisters and one brother. She didn't have an easy childhood but the memories she shared with her family were of the good times. She was married to the love of her life, Alfred, for 66 years. She was a devoted Army wife who raised her children to be strong and loving adults. She adored her grandchildren and would always tell them she loved them all the way up to the sky.

She was a meticulous and very proud homemaker. Her home was spotless and the five second rule did not apply. If you dropped something on the floor you could pick it up and eat it with no worries. She loved animals, especially her dog, Toby. She enjoyed working in her yard, sitting on her front porch or at her kitchen table, and she loved a good cup of coffee and a Coke.

She is survived by her husband, Al; daughter, Connie; sons, Eddie and wife Teresa, David and wife Amy; daughter, Julie and her husband Patrick; grandchildren, Ashley, Jonathan, Ryan, Allyson, and William; sisters, Patsy and Sandra; brother, Ronnie; and many friends. Rest in peace Momma. We love you all the way up to the sky.

Visitation with the family will be at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home today from 10 a.m.- 10:45 a.m. Graveside services will be at Lafayette Memorial Gardens starting at 11 a.m
