Mr. Edward "Ed" Foreman Brincefield, 87, of Bahama, NC, and formerly of Fayetteville, NC, died Saturday, April 8, 2023, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law.

Ed was born September 28, 1935, in Danville, VA, to the late William Foreman Brincefield and Fairy Lavender Brincefield.  He served in the US Army and retired from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office as a Homicide Detective.  Ed is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jean Priddy Brincefield and daughter, Tracey Jean Maness.  He was a member of Northwood Temple Church.

Ed is survived by his son, William "Bill" Brincefield (and wife Diana); his son-in-law, Ronnie Maness; his brother, Steven Brincefield (and wife Kathy); four grandchildren Sarah Calvert (and husband Dr. David Calvert), Joshua Bostick (and wife Dionisia Bostick), Emily Fry (and husband Tyler Fry), and Abbey Brincefield; and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11: 00 am on Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery, 2881 Gillespie St., Fayetteville, NC 28306.
