Edward "Ed" Clint Schantz, age 74, of Fayetteville NC, passed away on Thursday, September 30th  2021 at his residence.  He was born in Dixon, Illinois on January 30, 1947.

Mr. Schantz was a native of Fayetteville NC and was preceded in death by his parents.   He is survived by his wife, Raymonde "Mickey" Schantz; two sons, Jimmy Schantz and Johnny Schantz; stepdaughter, Sylvie and her husband, Darrell Roland; brother, Steve Redman and his wife, Vivian.

Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army. Ed opened his business Ed's Auto Service and Cross Creek Body Shop in 1970 and expanded his businesses adding 3 companies -Ed's towing, Cross Creek towing and Ed's salvage yard in Linden NC

His hobbies consisted of collecting classic cars and drag racing, He also loved to travel and spent countless hours gardening.  He loved his flowers and his horses (Fancy and Robin).

Visitation will be held Monday October 4, 2021 from 6 pm-8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday October 5, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Isenhour officiating. Entombment will follow in Cumberland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum on Raeford Road.

He will be missed by his family and friends!
