Mr. Edward Franklin Foy, 81, of Fayetteville, died Friday, June 12, 2015, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after a long, valiant fight with cancer. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 11 am in Victory United Methodist Church with Rev. Scott Reeves and Tryon Lancaster presiding.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10 to 11 am at the church.

Edward worked as a claims analyst before retiring from Allstate Insurance and Wade Byrd Law Firm. He was a member of Victory United Methodist Church and was a mason with Phoenix Lodge No. 8.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Jessie Foy.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara Reeves Foy of the home; son, Dean Foy of Greenville; a granddaughter, Katelyn Foy of Greenville; a great-grandson, Bryson Kite; and a host of in-laws and their families.
