Edwin Larry James 67 of Wade died Tuesday, December 10, 2019.

Larry was born December 20, 1951 in Anson Co. to the late Edwin and Amy Ratcliff James. He graduated from Bowman High School in 1970 where he was a school bus driver. He was a 1972 graduate from N.C. State with a degree in Field Crops Technology. He was a past member and officer of N.C. Farm Bureau in Anson Co.   Larry also had a realtor license and was previously employed with John Koenig Prudential. Larry was active in Cub Scouts with his son and he loved the family lab Lucy.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 12 noon at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11-12 noon on Saturday prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.

Larry was also preceded in death by his sister, Linda Carol Laney.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Pam; son, Andrew Wade; brothers, Philip James and Hugh James of Wadesboro, N.C.
