Obituary

U.S. Army COL (Ret.) Edwin "Ed" Thomas Larr, Jr, 83, of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Whispering Pines Nursing Home.

Ed was born in Warren County, MS, to the late Edwin Thoms Larr, Sr. and Ruth Weaver Larr.

Left to cherish Ed's memory are his wife of 6o years, Mary Peagler Larr;  daughter, Shannon Emanuel (David); son, Dr. Thomas Christopher Larr (Melinda); grandsons, Andrew Thomas Emanuel, and Ethan Christopher Larr.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  A graveside service will follow at 2 P.M. at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
