Elaine Joyce Collins Raper, 87, went to be with the Lord on November 25, 2017.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 1 pm at Helen Street Church of Christ. The burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon to 1 pm at the church.

She is preceded in death by her daughter Alana Marie, her husband Dale and her son Robert Neil. She leaves behind her surviving children, Allen, FL; Byrle (Betty), Monroe, NC; Joseph (Cynthia), Chesterfield, VA; Tanya, TN; Thomas, Fayetteville, NC and Daniel (Renee), Fayetteville, NC. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Elaine was born May 22, 1930 in Amesbury, MA. She married Dale Raper on February 8, 1947. In 1949, at the age of 19, she became a Christian. While raising her family she taught Bible School since 1950 until her health declined in 2012. She was a long standing member of Helen Street Church of Christ since 1967. She was devoted to her faith and family.
