Eleanor Kimble Barefoot, of Fayetteville, NC was born December 23, 1932 and passed away on June 26, 2020.  She was born in Athens, GA and was the daughter of the late Ralph and Edna Payne, also of Athens, Georgia.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased in death by her first husband, Rodney Kimble of Fayetteville, NC, and her daughter Rhonda Carol Smith of Wilmington, NC.

She is survived by her husband, Wilbert Barefoot of Fayetteville; daughters Wanda Hatmaker and husband Leroy of Fayetteville; Denise Lowe of Florida; Cindy Fullerton and husband Tom of Wade, NC; Donna Bledsole of Fayetteville, NC; step-son, Wilbert Steven Barefoot and wife Laura Clark Barefoot of Arizona; step-daughter, Deborah Williammee of Fayetteville, NC; grandchildren Jonathan David Campbell and wife Elle of Virginia; Jaimie Leah Sifford and husband Timothy of Hope Mills, NC; Wayne Smith and wife Megan of Raleigh, NC; Robin Johnson and husband Scott of Wilmington, NC; Benji Smith and wife Beth of Tennessee; Michael Terry and wife Rose of Wade, NC; Jeremy Lowe of Florida; Erin Lowe of Florida; Joseph Strickland and wife Jessica of Florida; Ellen Carter of Fayetteville, NC.; step-grandchildren Zachary Barefoot and wife Obri of Virginia;  Michael Barefoot and wife  Beth of Virginia and 21 great-grandchildren.

Eleanor was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew and loved her.  Her devotion to family was evident to all around her.

A private family viewing will be held at 1:00pm Jernigan Warren Funeral Home with a public service at 2:00 PM also at Jernigan Warren on Tuesday June 30. Burial  will be at Cumberland Memorial Gardens.
