Mrs. Elease Horne Fields, 85, of Fayetteville, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, in her home. Mrs. Fields was a retired nursing supervisor with Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, whose compassion for patients was as great as her professional ability and desire to see patient care provided at its highest level. A visitation will take place at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Thursday, July 19, 2007, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., followed by the funeral service. Burial will be in Cross Creek Cemetery. Mrs. Fields is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Joseph W. Fields; two daughters, Karen Fields and Carolyn Fields Palmer; and two grandchildren, Brent Palmer and Eric Palmer.
