LINDEN - Mrs. Elfriede Weber Simpson, 78, of Linden, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009, in Carrol S. Roberson Hospice Center in Fayettevillle. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2009, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel on Ramsey Street in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Phil Addison officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at the funeral home. Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her parents, Johanna Bikel and George Weber; her husband of 53 years, Samuel William Simpson Sr.; a grandson, Richard Steven Simpson; and a great-granddaughter, Camyrn Simpson. She is survived by four sons, Paul William Simpson of Linden; Volkmar Ernest Simpson and wife Sue of Linden, William Ray Simpson and wife Virginia of Hope Mills, and Samuel William Simpson Jr. and wife Crystal of Linden; three daughters, Gabriel Janui and husband Mimo of Worms, Germany, Susie Holloway and husband Steve of Fayetteville, and Sheila Baggett and husband Brad of Linden; a brother, Karl Heinz Weber of Lumbehim, Germany; a sister, Veronica Wheeler of Worms; 11 grandchildren; Mary, Paul Jr., Paulina, Christopher, Tina, William Jr., Lisa Marie, Sammie III, Amber, Jonathon and Michael; and 20 great-grandchildren.
