Mrs. Elise Bethea Clements, of Fayetteville, died Friday, Dec. 7, 2007. She was born in Dunn on Aug. 7, 1922, the daughter of Norman C. and Clara S. Bethea. She was a graduate of Fayetteville High School and retired from BB&T. She was a member of First Baptist Church. She loved her church, family and friends. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2007, in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. A. Edward Beddingfield Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Lafayette Memorial Park. A visitation will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Mrs. Clements was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys L. Bethea; and three brothers, Elmer Cameron Bethea, Marion Ralph Bethea and Curtis Bethea, all of Fayetteville. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Adams and husband Jim of Fayetteville; granddaughter, Kelly Adams; two great-grandchildren; nieces, Shirley Pate of Erwin, Nancy Miller of Bluefield, W.Va., and Kay Dove of Hope Mills; and nephew, Victor Bethea of Louisburg.
