Betty was the matriarch of her family. She was protective and loyal. She was the rock and the glue that kept her family together. Betty loved her family more than anything. She loved being a Mama, her world revolved around her kids. She was the type of mother who was your best friend. Whether it was water skiing at Lake Waccamaw with Cathy and Pam or holding Danny's hand as a child to get him to sleep. As a mother and Aunt she always showed compassion and wanted the best for everyone. If something was wrong she wanted to help you fix it. She loved being called Mama, that is until she became a Grandma. Her grandchildren, great nieces, great nephew, and great grandchildren meant the world to her. She loved being called Grandma, Granny B, or Granny BB. In them she found true joy. She was a great friend to all and never met a stranger. She cared about everyone she met and would always keep up with everyone. We will miss seeing her smiling face and hearing her laughter.
