Elizabeth "Lib" Amburn Edwards, 99, of Fayetteville passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19th, 2016 at Brookdale of Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2016 at 1pm at Jernigan Warren Chapel with Dr. Bruce Martin, Mrs. Edwards' nephew, officiating. Burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11 am to 1 pm at the funeral home and other times at her son's home.

Mrs. Edwards was a graduate of King Business College of Greensboro. She retired from the Nance Law Firm in Fayetteville after 25 years. She was a charter member and past president of the Cumberland County Shrinettes. She attended Culbreth United Methodist Church and was a member of the Walter Smith Sunday School Class.

She was born the fourth of eleven children to the late Luther F. and Martha O. Amburn in Boonville, NC.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Earle B. Edwards; son Kenneth Edwards; brothers James Amburn, John Amburn, Jesse Amburn; and her sisters Mildred Huskins, Jennie Martin, and Pat Brendle Redway. Lib is survived by her son James "Jim" Edwards and wife Laurie of Fayetteville; brothers Bill Amburn, LF "Bud" Amburn; sisters Nancy Brooks, and Sarah Lou Brown; and grandson Kelly Edwards.
