Mrs. Elizabeth M. Stout, 82, of Fayetteville, died Friday, October 20, 2006, in Haymount Rehab and Nursing Center. Mrs. Stout was an active member of Eutaw Church of Christ. She was a former member of Fayetteville Lady Lions and was the last president to serve the civic club. She was also a volunteer for CONTACT. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday in Eutaw Church of Christ with the Rev. Roy Day officiating. Burial will be in LaFayette Memorial Park. A visitation will take place from 10 to 11 am Monday at the church. Mrs. Stout was preceded in death by her parents, George and Betty maynard of Chapel Hill; brothers, William Maynard of Wintston-Salem, James Maynard and his wife, Ella Mae, of Raleigh; and a grandson, Christopher L. Haithcock, of Fayetteville. She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Dan H. Stout of the home; sons, Dan H. Stout, Jr. and his wife, Gina, of Matthews and George W. Stout of Holden Beach; daughter, Barbara S. Haithcock and her husband, Lynn, of Fayetteville; sister-in-law, Gertrude Maynard of Winston-Salem; grandson, Dan H. Stout III. of Charlotte; and granddaughter, Jill N. Stout of Charlotte. Memorials may be made to Eutaw United Church of Christ, 900 Stamper Road, Fayetteville NC 28303.
