Mrs. Elsie Mae Wortham Wilkes, 80, of Hope Mills, formerly of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 3 pm in Cumberland Memorial Gardens.

Elsie was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Wilkes.

She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Karen D. Barefoot and husband Seavy of Cookeville, TN and Charla M. Trogdon and husband Michael of Fayetteville; 5 grandchildren, Brian Barefoot, Michael Barefoot, Matthew Barefoot, Melissa Boisvert and Christy Burk; and 7 great-grandchildren, Zoey Barefoot, Haley Barefoot, Carson Boisvert, Lucas Boisvert, Madison Boisvert, Bailey Brown Burk and Liam Burk.
