Mrs. Elvira C. Campbell, 84, of Fayetteville, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mrs. Campbell was born in Berkley Co., SC. She was a member of Northwood Temple and active in Senior Eagles and other senior activities at the church. A funeral service will be held at 12:30 pm Friday, December 29, 2006, in Northwood Temple with Dr. John Hedgepeth officiating. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park. Mrs. Campbell's grandsons and great grandsons will serve as her pallbearers. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 11 to 12:30. Mrs. Campbell is survived by her son, John W. Campbell, Jr and his wife, Jerri, of Fayetteville; daughter, Joyce Brown and her husband, Larry, of Eufaula, Alabama; six grandchildren, James Larry Brown, Jr., John Cale Brown, Brian Keith Brown, Rachel Brown, Kelli Campbell Kurfurst and her husband, Bill, and Kevin Campbell; four great-grandchildren, Jessica, Rodger, Britney, and Kyle; and a great great- grandchild, Jelani; and a sister, Blanche Coalson of South Carolina.
