Emma Lee Worthington, 92, of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.

Emma was born on October 9, 1931, in Cumberland County, to the late Hervey Parker and Molly Elizabeth Faircloth Parker.

She was a member of Judson Baptist Church.  Emma had a love for animals, especially her two cats.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2023, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Judson Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Brookshire officiating. The committal service will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Kinston, N.C.

Emma was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce C. Worthington; son, Johnny Tyndall; brother, Maxwell Leonard Sessoms; sister, Abbiline Jefferis; and her son-in-law, Joe Barfield.

She is survived by her son, Hervy Tyndall, and wife Alice; daughter, Molly Barfield; daughter-in-law Janice Tyndall; grandchildren, Steven Tyndall and wife Ariana, Michael Tyndall and wife Angi, Robbie Tyndall, Randy Tyndall and wife Teresa, Clayton Tyndall and wife Leslie, Lee Ann Hocutt and husband Danny, John Cain (Toni) and Sammy Cain; 16 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
