Emmaline Autry Geddie, 89, wife of the late J.B. Geddie, died peacefully September 23, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Stedman, NC. Born July 29, 1925 in Stedman, Miss Emmaline's life embodied the Spirit as she lived God's love throughout her life in every word and deed. She is survived by her children Violet Dowd (Joe) and Joe Geddie (Karen), grandchildren Thomas Dowd (Sylvia), John Dowd (Jennifer), Melissa Geddie Colston (Kyle), Jonathan Geddie, Baxter Geddie, great granddaughter Emmaline Lee Dowd, and special sister-in-law's Almeta Autry, Lettie Autry and Lillian Autry. She is predeceased in death by her husband J.B. Geddie, son Johnny Geddie, brothers Woodrow Autry, Marshall Autry, Stacy Autry, and sister Ida Mae Lavender. Services will be September 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. on September 24 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Bethany United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Claxton Autry, Wilson Autry, Blackmon Autry, Marshall "Jr." Autry, Donald Autry, Thomas Dowd, John Dowd, Kyle Colston, Jonathan Geddie, and honorary pallbearers Lee Lavender, Bob Autry, and Baxter Geddie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cape Fear Valley HomeCare & Hospice or Magnolia Baptist Church, 1021 Magnolia Church Rd, Stedman, NC 28391.
