Ernest Clemmons Beard passed away peacefully at Cape Fear Valley Hospital on Thursday September 24, 2015. He was surrounded by family and loved ones. Ernest was the youngest of seven children and the only boy. He was 89 years old. He was a Navy Veteran

A memorial service will be held at Peace Presbyterian Church (Ramsey Street) on Saturday, September 26, 2015, at 1:00 pm.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Beth Woosley, Son in Law-Richard Woosley and two adoring granddaughters-Sarah and Morgan Woosley of Cary, NC. Ernest is also survived by two sisters-Ruby Britt and Berline Gallahugh of Fayetteville. He is also survived by his loving and loyal caregiver- Rene Johnson, her husband Rick and children of Fayetteville, NC.
