Fayetteville, NC- Ernest Layfette Hall, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, December 31, 2010.
Mr. Hall is survived by his loving wife, Hannelore Frantzen Hall, and sons, Larry E. Hall and wife, Peggy of Vidor, Texas, Mark S. Hall and wife, Pam, of Enterprise, Alabama and Michael L. Hall and wife, Sue Ann, of Fayetteville, NC; nine grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. One of ten children, Mr. Hall was well loved and leaves behind a great host of family members and friends.
He was a retired Army veteran who served in the Korean War and two tours in Vietnam as well as serving in other conflicts for his country of which he loved and was proud of. Mr. Hall also retired from Civil Service in 1990.
Funeral services will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Village Drive on Friday, January 7, 2011, at 1 pm. The burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens with military honors.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, January 6, 2011, from 6 to 8 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 pm.
