Obituary

Ernest Milford Lamson, Jr. 91 of Fayetteville, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022.

Mr. Lamson was born on December 3, 1930, in Syracuse, N.Y to the late Ernest Milford Lamson, Sr. and Helen Klase Lamson. He was a mason and a Shriner. He retired from the U.S. Army as MSG where he served in Vietnam, was stationed in Korea and the Dominican Republic.

He also retired from NCNB (Bank of America) after 21 years of service as a Bonded Courier. He then enjoyed working at Carr Toyota for the next couple of years.

A funeral service will be held with full Military Honors on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 10 a.m. at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery.

He was preceded in death by his first wife of 30 years, Yumiko Lamson; and all of his siblings.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, My Thi "MiMi" Lamson; son, Ernest Lee Lamson; daughter, Gail Leslie Lamson; stepdaughters, Jackie McKinzie and Mari Blanding; grandchildren, Crystal Lamson and Zasha Bennett.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
