Mr. Ernest McKinley Norton, Jr, 72, of Fayetteville, NC, died Monday, January 8, 2024, at his home.

Ernest was born August 26, 1951, in Cumberland County, NC, to the late Ernest McKinley Norton, Sr. and Mildred Greene Norton.  He was the owner of Ernie and Sons Automotive.

Ernest is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margie W. Norton; sons, Ernest M. Norton, III (and wife Diana) and Warren S. Norton (and wife Jennifer); sister, Betty Grady (and husband Stanley); brother, Mark Norton (and wife Teresa); and grandchildren, Blake, McKinley, Clayton, and Kamryn.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 14, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home, with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. in the Jernigan-Warren Chapel.  Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park, 2301 Ramsey St., Fayetteville, NC 28301.
