On November 6, 2022, Ethel Cleary Davidson of Fayetteville, North Carolina went to be with the Lord. She was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church for 70 years and served the Lord in many capacities.

She was predeceased by her father, James O'Dell Cleary, her mother, Edith Warren Cleary, a brother, David Philip Cleary, her husband, Roland Dewitt Davidson, and a daughter, Connie Sue Davidson.

She is survived by a brother, James Earl Cleary, her daughters, Sara Davidson Whitaker and Laura Davidson Pike, her sons Roland Keith Davidson (Amy), John Philip Davidson (Sharon), and Robert Dewitt Davidson (Angie), eight grandsons, Matthew Joel Coryell, Marcus Roland Coryell (Tina), Fred Thomas Zahran III, Brandon Keith Davidson (Holly Ann), Chandler Dewitt Davidson, Jacob Owen Davidson, Aaron Zachary Hunt, Ethan Dewitt Davidson, and one granddaughter, Miranda Leigh Davidson, two great grandchildren, Joshua Aiden Coryell and Julienne Elizabeth Coryell, and several extended family members.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 1 pm to 1:45 pm at Mount Gilead Baptist Church, 6248 Cliffdale Road, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28314.  The service will be held at 2 pm and the burial to follow in Lafayette Memorial Cemetery, 2301 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, North Carolina 28301.
