Mrs. Ethel Mae Denning McKinney, 83, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, in Highsmith-Rainey Specialty Hospital. Mrs. McKinney lived a full and eventful life. She was preceded in death by a son, George McRae Smith; and a grandson, Dale Mason. She is survived by a son, Alton Hare and wife Elizabeth of Fayetteville; three daughters, Dorothy Mae Hare Edwards and husband Gene of Dunn, Wyoma Mason Dunn and husband Buddy of Fayetteville, and Violet Young and husband Dalton of Fayetteville; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and dear friend and roommate, Virginia Loft. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008, in the chapel of Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville with Dr. Robert Ratley officiating. Burial will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight, Feb. 27, 2008, at the funeral home. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
