Etrue Williams "Trudy" Bright, 82, of Fayetteville, passed away Friday morning, January 27, 2017, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

She was born July 26, 1934 in Fayetteville, to the late H.P and Mayme Williams, where she would grow up in Massey Hill with her 3 sisters and 2 brothers. After graduating from Massey Hill High School she worked for a while as a secretary for A&R Railroad, and as a bookkeeper for both Sears and Carolina Power and Light.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017, at 1 pm in Jernigan Warren Chapel. The burial will follow at Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Sunday evening, January 29, from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home.

Trudy was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Bright.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sheree Croft of Fayetteville and Debbie Banko and husband Aaron of St. Pauls; two sons, Mike Bright and wife Donna of Fayetteville and Tommy Bright and wife Kathy of Ft. Mill, SC; two brothers, Marvin Williams of Tuscaloosa, AL and Paris Williams of St. Pauls; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
