Mrs. Ettrice Royal Walker, 93 of Wade passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Ettrice was born on October 10, 1922 in Cumberland County to the late Lillie Geddie and DeRoy Walden Royal. She was a former member of Center Baptist Church and later joined Bluff Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh M. Walker; brothers, Carlyle, Spurgeon and Donald Royal; sisters, Roberta Royal, Virginia Dare Royal and Sadie Rae Fields.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in Bluff Presbyterian Church in Wade with Gary Neal Royal, officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Bluff Presbyterian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Ettrice is survived by her son, Richard T. Walker, II (Rhonda) of Wade; daughter, Charlotte Walker Rea (John) of Wade; brother, Glenn Royal (Barbara) of Fayetteville, Georgia; sister, Frances Royal of Atlanta; grandchildren, Kimberly W. Murphy (Mike) of Wade; Richard T. Walker, III (Becky) of Wade; Karen R. Perkins (Ian) of Fayetteville; John Walker Rea (Danielle) of Wade; great-grandchildren; Katie Murphy, Gray Murphy, Hannah Walker, Lilly Walker and John Grayson Perkins. The family would like to thank her special caregivers: Amy Carter, and Helen Young.
