Eugene Elvin Sykes, 75, of 5110 Rodwell Road, Fayetteville, died Friday, Jan. 18, 2008, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Mr. Sykes was a Navy veteran. Services: Funeral, 2 p.m. Monday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville. Burial in Lafayette Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home; and at other times at 2309 Cleveland Ave. Survived by: Wife, Doris; daughter, Sue Stephens; two granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.
