Eva Koch Nance, of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2026, at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital–Hoke Campus in Raeford at 6:06 a.m., with her loving family by her side. She was 86 years old.
Eva was born on March 16, 1940, in Heilbronn, Germany, to the late Hildegard Koch and Erwin Koch.
For 30 years, Eva worked alongside her son, Michael, in his interior design business. She was a faithful member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church and found great joy in her faith, family, and traditions. Eva especially loved traveling to Germany to visit family and enjoy shopping. She also enjoyed reading, baking, and creating cherished Christmas memories with those she loved.
Above all, Eva will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud Oma, caring sister, cherished aunt, and loyal friend. Her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Harold Nance; her brother, Theo Koch; and her sister, Ruth Maschke.
She is survived by her daughter, Tanya Nance; her sons, Michael Nance and Steven Nance; her brother, Eberhardt Koch; her grandchildren, Justyn Beeler and his wife, Jordan, Benjamin Nance, Leah Lawless, and Andrew Nance; and her great-grandchildren, Berkley Ann Beeler, Eli Nance, and Alex Nance. She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will miss her greatly.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2026, in the chapel of Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home. Eva will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery at 10:00 am following the service.
