Mrs. Evelyn Teague Wiggins, 92, formerly of Fayetteville, died Thursday, January 22, 2015, at the First Health Hospice House in Pinehurst.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015, at 11 am in Jernigan Warren Chapel with Rev. David Teague presiding. The burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St.

She was a faithful member of Lafayette Baptist Church; a member of the Lafayette Village Volunteer Fire Department Ladies' Auxiliary; and for the last eight years, she has been a resident of Autumn Care Nursing Home in Raeford.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Albert "Billy" Wiggins; son, Joseph "Joe" Wiggins, Jr.; son-in-law, W. "Tom" Herring; 5 brothers; 3 sisters; 2 grandsons; and one great-grandson.

She is survived by her son, Robert Neil Wiggins and wife Patty of Raeford; daughter, Vicky W. Herring of Apex; daughter-in-law, Cathy Wiggins of Wilmington; a brother, Edgar N. Teague, Jr. and a sister, Juanita Smith, both of Kure Beach; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Monday from 10 to 11 am at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
