FAYETTEVILLE - Fannie Irene Goins, 79 of Fayetteville passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Irene was born June 12, 1938 in Robeson County to the late Jasper and Queen Lemons. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah S. Goins; brothers, Leroy Lemons, Thurman Lemons, Manuel Lemons and Thamuel Lemons.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 1, 2018 at 2:00 pm in Jernigan-Warren Chapel with Rev. Jerry Groves, Rev. John Hobbs, and Rev. David Kamaka, officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park-West The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.

Irene is survived by her son, Edward N. Goins; daughters, Edna Matthews and husband Harold, Elizabeth Anne Goins, Michelle L. Tyndall and husband Ray; brothers, Enois Lemons, Huey Lemons, Joseph Lemons; sisters, Dorothy Smiling, Lucille Perry, Mary Lee Ivey; grandchildren, Dave Matthews, Michael Matthews, Jerrica Tyndall, Rae' Lin Tyndall, Mahalia Tyndall; great-grandchildren, Noah Matthews, Kaylee Matthews, Grace Matthews, and Caroline Matthews; step-mother, Martha Lemons.
