Fannie Mae Farrell Rainwater, 94, of Spring Hill TN, formerly a long time resident of Fayetteville, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015. Fannie was a believer in Jesus Christ, a soul winner who boldly accepted his commandment to tell others about him. Because she accepted his gift of salvation and she spread that word to all she came in contact with, Jesus said to her on that day, "Well done, my good and faithful servant."

Fannie was born on October 2, 1920 to Walter and Hertie Farrell in Harnett County. She was married to John Gary Rainwater on November 8, 1941 in South Carolina, and they were married for 50 years until his death in 1991. She was a homemaker, a salesperson at Belk in Tallywood, and a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. She also was a volunteer at the VA hospital in Fayetteville for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her brother, Henry Farrell, and sister Estelle New. Mrs. Rainwater is survived by her son, John G. Rainwater Jr. and wife Roberta of Laurel, MS, daughter Jo Von Theobald and husband Phil, of Spring Hill, TN, granddaughters, Carrie Childers and husband Bryan of Fayetteville, NC, Natalie Warf and husband Steven of Franklin, TN, three great grandchildren, Christopher Warf, Travis Childers, and Ellie Warf, and three special nieces, Denise, Shelia, and Debbie.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29 from 6-8 at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 30. A graveside service will follow at Lafayette Memorial Cemetery.
