Mrs. Ferry Elizabeth Bean, 83, of Fayetteville, died Friday, January 2, 2009, in Highland House. Mrs. Bean was a member of Walstone Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Columbus Bean. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday, January 4, 2009, in Walstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Wesley Wallis officiating. The burial will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 pm Saturday, January 3, 2009, at Jernigan Warren. Surviving Mrs. Bean are her son, Ronald Bean Sr. and wife, Sandra, of Fayetteville; daughters, Judith Carole Croom and husband Phil of St. Petersburg, FL, and Donna Louise Bean of Fayetteville; sister, Louise Brown of Hickory; grandchildren, Ronald Bean Jr. and wife Carrie, Elizabeth Oakes and husband Patrick, David Eugene Croom and wife Vanessa, Ronnie Croom and Elizabeth Croom; and eight great-grandchildren.
