ELIZABETH CITY - Mrs. Florence Elizabeth \\"Beth\\" Van Valkenburg, 58, formerly of Hope Mills, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2010. Services: Funeral, 2 p.m. Wednesday in Friendship Baptist Church. Burial in Gilmont Cemetery. Visitation, 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home in Fayetteville. Survived by: Husband, James; son, James Blake; daughters, Cherish Lambert and Juanita; mother, Betty Blake; brother, Curtis Blake; and eight grandchildren.
