FAYETTEVILLE- Mrs. Floryne Bryant Cagle, 95 of 405 Forsythe St. died, Wed. Feb 8, 2012 at the Carol S. Roberson Hospice Center. Mrs. Cagle was an army nurse veteran of WWII, a 1940 graduate of Pittman Hospital Nursing School, she served in the army nurse corps from 1941-1946, VA nurse in Fayetteville from 1946-1949, VA nurse in 1967 and retired in 1978. She was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Dillon, S.C. She had been a Fayetteville Citizen since 1936. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 11, 2011 at 2 p.m.at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Benfield officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park. She was preceded in death by her husband James I. Cagle and brothers, Bud Bryant, Bernie Bryant and Joe Bryant, sisters; Blanche Hulon and Grace Smith. Surviving are her son; James William "Bill" Cagle and wife Laurie Cressman of Raleigh and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Dr. Sasan Araghi and the staff at Carolina Inn at Village Green and the Carol S. Roberson Hospice Center for their professional care and compassion. Memorial may be made to ones favorite charity. Visitation: Saturday February 11, 2012 from 1pm to 2pm at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
