Retired Army Lt. Col. Floyd N. Dixon, 85, of 6407 Greengate Hill Road, Faytteville, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2007. A professional soldier and master parachutist, he served in North Africa, Sicily, Italy, North Ireland, England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Korea and Japan. Lt. Col. Dixon was preceded in death by his wife and son. He is survived by a brother, Harry Dixon of Mesa, AZ. Graveside services will be held Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at 2 pm in Post Cemetery on Fort Bragg. In lieu of flowers, memorials my be made to one's favorite charity. Services entrusted to Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
