Frances Roberts Harris age 97 of Fayetteville, North Carolina passed away and went to be with her heavenly father January 20th, 2021. She was born April 18th, 1923 in Aynor, South Carolina. She was the daughter of Henry and Prudie Roberts. Frances was preceded in death by her husband George Harris and her beloved daughter Melba Harris Ross, her sister Jean Floyd and her brother E.P. Roberts.

She was a member of Second Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for more than 65 years and it gave her great joy.

She is survived by her sister Mary Walker, her two grandchildren, Tracey Sherpinskas of Wade and Tiffany Barlow of Raleigh, her great-grandchild, Jakob Sherpinskas and her son-in-law James Ross. She was an independent woman that instilled this trait in her two granddaughters.

A private graveside service will be held at Lafayette Memorial on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at 1pm by Dr. Phillip Hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask a memorial in her name be given to her church Second Baptist Church or the American Cancer Society.
