Obituary

Frances Lindsay, 94 of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan formerly of Fayetteville passed away Saturday, June 27, 2015, in her home in Michigan.

She was born Aug. 5, 1920, in Logan, West Virginia, the daughter of the late George and Willie (Vernon) Ramey.

She married Russell Lindsay on June 7, 1966, at Crab Orchard Baptist Church in Raleigh County, West Virginia.

She was an elementary school teacher in West Virginia, retiring in 1976.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Russell; and five siblings, James "Buster," Frank, Bill, Georgia Canada and Jesse Libscomb.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Ina Rae Weeks of Trenton; a niece, Barbara Wentworth of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; great-nieces and nephew, Robin (Steve) Stressman of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan Melissa (Randy) Strong of Belle River, Ontario, and Joe (Deb) Wentworth of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; and Grandson, Joseph Weeks; Granddaughter Renee Moody; Great Grandchildren: Max, Seth, and Geneva Weeks and Alex, Amanda, and Selene Moody; and Great -Great Grandson, Aiden.

Her funeral will be held at 11a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2015, in Lafayette Baptist Church in Fayetteville with the Rev. Steve Branch, officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.Burial follows in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey St. in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
