FAYETTEVILLE - Ms. Frances Elizabeth McDonald, 92, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2011, in Heritage Place.
A graduate of Stedman High School, Ms. McDonald was a charter member and former member of Temple Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught children's Sunday school classes. She was retired from PWC. She was president of Sunnyside Senior Citizens Club in Vander and a recent member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She loved making crafts, traveling, singing, sewing and gardening. She loved God.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Justin N. McDonald.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, Dec. 31, 2011, in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Vander, with the Rev. Ed Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Bullard Cemetery in Vander. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m today at the church.
Ms. McDonald is survived by two sons, Paul Wayne McDonald of Centennial, Colo., and Charles Eric McDonald of Benson; a daughter, Gayle McDonald Smith of Eastover; and seven grandchildren, Jeffrey R. Smith, Henry M. Smith, Raven N. McDonald, Morgan M. Williams, Kathryn E. McDonald, Bettye J. Peavler and Jordan W. McDonald; and a great-grandchild, Alexa R. Smith.The Family will receive friends Saturdday December 31, 2011 from 1pm to 2pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, the funeral will follow at 2pm in the church, burial will follow in Bullard Family Cemetery in Vander, NC
