Mrs. Frances Smith Register, 89, of Fayetteville, formerly of Raleigh, died Saturday, Dec. 30, 2006, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Graveside services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Raleigh with the Rev. Jim Harry officiating. Mrs. Register was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Register, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Sara Donau and her husband, Chuck, of Fayetteville; four grandchildren, Alan Williams of Harrells, Jamey Bass of Cary, Ashley Bass of Fayetteville, and Ellen Donau of Fayetteville; and five great-grandchildren, Carter, Michael, Kris, Charlie, and Kaleb.
