Retired US Army SGT Francis Kealoha Beck, 60, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.
Francis was retired from the US Army after 28 years of service which included the Vietnam War, Saudi Arabia and Panama.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013, at 11 am in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Morganton Road with Bishop Jason Parker, Clifton Yarn and Terry Mills presiding. The burial will follow at 2 pm in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake with military honors.
Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Joy A. Beck of the home; daughter, Danyelle Williams of Fayetteville; son Loran D. Williams, II of West Virginia; three granddaughters, Nia Williams, Mariannah Winston, and Katelyn Williams; 2 brothers, William and Paul Beck; and 'brother and sisters', Bobby Cross, Mary-Ann Dowdle, Kimberly Ann Dettenmayer, and Sue Ann Bowen.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at Jernigan Warren Funeral Home.
