Mr. Furman C. Blanton, Jr., 87 of 2678 Belhaven Rd., died Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. A Funeral service will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel, burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park on Ramsey Street. Surviving are his son; John C. Blanton, sister; Mildred Meshaw; 4 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter. The family will receive friends, Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 5-7 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
