Gene Raymond Thompson, 80 of Fayetteville passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in his home.

Gene was born January 20, 1938 in Chesterfield Co., Virginia to the late William and Inez Thompson. He was retired from Embarq Telephone Co. and was a US Air Force Vietnam veteran after 9 years of service.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 13, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Lafayette Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 6:00 pm till 8:00 pm.

Gene is survived by his wife, Donna Dixon Thompson; daughters, Erin Thompson and Tara Thompson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, sisters-in-laws and brothers-in-law.
