FAYETTEVILLE - Mrs. Geneva Gordon Ivey, 75, of Fayetteville, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013, in Carolina Inn. A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Mount Vernon Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronald Hester officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband, Bobby Wayne Ivey; daughter, Glenda Ivey Brooks and husband, Kevin, of Knightdale; son, Wayne Ivey and wife, Kaye, of Apex; grandchildren, Ivey Brooks and Judson Brooks; sisters-in-law, Shirley Melvin and husband, Donald, and Linda Thompson and husband, Fate; brothers-in-law, Ted Ivey and wife, Louise, and Lynn Ivey and wife, Brenda. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sue Wygal; and father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Jessie Ivey. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
