George L. Brooks, Jr. 71, 0f Fayetteville, died Monday, May 4, 2015 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held Monday, May 11, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Jernigan-Warren Chapel with burial following in Sandhills State Veterans Cemetery with military honors.

Surviving are his wife, Tomi; sons, Anthony and George Brooks; Daughter, Roseita Lowe; sisters, Lucinda Gormes and Bertha; brothers, James and Henry Brooks; 6 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Monday one hour prior to the service at Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home.
