George Wesley Jeffreys Sr., 74, of Hope Mills, died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 pm Wednesday, July 2, 2008, in Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Wiley Hughes officiating. The burial will follow in Fayetteville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, July 1, 2008, from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Jeffreys was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was an avid fisherman and a member of Mt. Carmel Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was the owner and operator of J&J Mechanical Contractors and was the chairman of the Industrial/Electronics department at Fayetteville Technical Community College. He was a former employee of the electrical maintenance department at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Fayetteville. Mr. Jeffreys is survived by his wife, Clorese J. Jeffreys of the home; a son, Wesley Jeffreys and wife, Lisa, of Hope Mills; two daughters, Loretta White and husband, George, of Hope Mills, and Brenda Morris of Fayetteville; a brother, Lester Williams of Ocean Isle Beach; a sister, Rebecca Council of Wilmington; and six grandchildren, Todd and Jessica Jeffreys, Jordan and Hannah White, Charlie Ratley and Robin Kessner. He was preceded in death by his first beloved wife of 42 years, Ruth Evelyn Jeffreys.
