George Morfi, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, age 66, passed at his home June 15, 2023.  He is the son of the late Jorge Morfi and Hildegard Morfi.

George was born in Brooklyn, New York City, NY, and grew up on the move in his early years as an Army Brat.  He graduated from Pine Forest Sr. High School, and Fayetteville Technical Community College with a degree in Information Technology.

George was an avid remote controller of planes, helicopters, boats, and drones, and was always filled with child-like wonder and playfulness.  His faith of God was deep, and our Lord has now brought him home.

He is survived by sister, Rita Marshall, brother-in-law, Peter Marshall, nephews Jason and Matthew Marshall, and 5 grand-nieces and nephews.  Special recognition to the Popp family, Chris, Jeff, and Debbie—who loved George and made him feel like one of their own.

A graveside service will be announced for a later date.
