KURE BEACH - George Marshall Sullivan III, 49, of Kure Beach and formerly of Fayetteville, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2011, in his home. George was a kind and loving son, always more than willing to help his mother and father. He was the type of young man who saw a need and jumped in to help. He always had a cat, which he loved dearly and made sure she was well cared for. George loved life and was an adventurous young man, looking for new challenges. His career with the N.C. Department of Revenue started in Durham, with a later management position in Fayetteville before a final transfer to Wilmington. A funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home chapel in Fayetteville, with the Rev. Randy Bremer and Mr. Donald Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville. The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Sullivan is survived by his mother, Mrs. Marian K. Geddie of Fayetteville; father, G. Marshall Sullivan of Fayetteville; sister, Mrs. Leigh Clavin and husband John of Matthews; and nephews Cameron Clavin and Conner Clavin. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Westminister Presbyterian Church, 2505 Village Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304; or to Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, P.O.
